bulimia therapy

Meridian Peak Hypnosis works with clients of all ages with issues with bulimia. We work with your subconscious mind to implant positive suggestions that see food as a healthy, needed part of life. Our hypnosis practitioners work with you to build new mechanisms for dealing with bulimia.

Bulimia starts with a feeling of stress or built-up tension then the body begins planning out a strategy to solving that problem.  The body finds a time/place to binge.

There are different reasons for bulimia

There are many different ways people take on the traits of bulimia:

• Learned from people around you
• Issues with human perfectionist nature (perfectionism)
• Issues with body image
• Issues with self esteem
• Feelings of being out of control

Bulimics go into a hypnotic state

As food is piled into the body, the person goes into a hypnotic state where time passes and outside ideas/thoughts no longer matter.  The body focuses on eating until the stomach is ready to split in two, then the purging cycle begins.  Taking laxatives, vomiting or both gives the body the ability to have its cake and eat it too.  Afterward, the body feels a sense of shame and self-disgust, relieved and/or sleepy.

Because hypnosis is involved in the bulimic state, hypnosis can be the solution to bulimia

While in the hypnotic state, a Meridian Peak Hypnosis Hypnotherapist can reverse the sequence of events that are bulimia.  Our therapists work with bulimia clients to understand food as a source of nutrition and substance, versus a way to express emotion or solve problems.  We will help you focus on the positive and replace negative words and thoughts with a positive way forward.  We help your subconscious mind develop new ways for dealing with stress and anxiety.

Hypnosis is proven more effective than traditional counseling

In a study in American Health Magazine, hypnosis and hypnotherapy have a 93% success rate compared with lower results from other methods of therapy which require far more sessions.  Click here to learn more about hypnosis and its high success rate.
